September 30, 2010 Silver Lake

I had the lake all to myself. All the docks were out. All the boats gone. All the tourists a memory. The wind was NW 15-18 mph. I sailed for 53 minutes before it started to shut down. I sailed 9.87 mi with and average speed of 11 mph. I sailed my 8.0 and had a max. speed of 24.1 mph. It was an absolutely beautiful day. I sailed in the evening and the sun was low in the sky. I sailed directly into the sun crystals on the water as I headed SW into the corner of the lake. It was gorgeous. I was perfectly warm in my wetsuit. The water was getting cooler. Soon it will be dry suit conditions.
